Häfele combines its successful Loox, Nimbus and Connect ranges into the new Häfele Lighting division. As the first and so far only brand, it combines the application areas of “light in furniture” and “light in rooms” to create an integrated overall experience. Connectivity with the Bluetooth® SIG Mesh wireless protocol plays an important role as part of this. It offers architects, interior designers, planners, home and contract furnishers and craftsmen a unique approach to designing and planning with room and furniture lighting.
“With Häfele Lighting, we are presenting ourselves as a new and exciting brand in the lighting segment,” emphasizes Gregor Riekena, CEO of Häfele. “Our proven expertise for light in furniture, light in space and connectivity, coupled with our profound understanding of materials and surfaces as a decades-long partner to the trade and project business, form a successful foundation for this.”
The new Häfele Lighting division combines the successful Loox, Nimbus and Connect ranges under one roof – wirelessly controllable with Häfele Connect Mesh.

Connectivity as a key competence
At Light + Building 2024 in Frankfurt am Main, visitors were able to experience the interaction of these competencies live. Pioneering solutions for room and furniture lighting from the Loox, Nimbus and Connect ranges were on display at the trade fair stand. Highlight: the portfolio on display can be integrated into a wireless Bluetooth network with Häfele Connect Mesh and operated via the new Connect Mesh App 2.0. Light and connectivity are combined to create a sophisticated overall experience.
Small and medium-sized networks can be conveniently set up, adapted and controlled via Connect Mesh – depending on the requirements and size of the project. Scenes, groups and time control ensure a harmonious lighting atmosphere throughout the day. The Connect Mesh solutions are also compatible with devices from other manufacturers, such as Jung Home and Steinel Connect. The companies work together in the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Bluetooth Mesh to enable cross-manufacturer integration.

Support for the woodworking trade
Häfele Lighting supports the woodworking trade as part of its Service+ offer. Carpenters receive valuable know-how and concrete assistance in the planning and design of lighting scenarios. The company focuses on ease of implementation. The solutions provided enable carpenters and cabinetmakers to present their furniture in the right light – bringing additional benefits for their clients and helping to increase sales.
The Häfele lighting handbook
The Häfele lighting handbook with the subtitle “Licht – schnell und einfach inszeniert“ (Light – quick and easy to stage) provides a good introduction to the subject. It was published especially for carpenters and joiners. The handbook provides inspiration for staging living spaces with furniture and room lighting. In particular, it explains how programmed lighting scenes can improve living and working comfort. Among other things, it uses 13 illustrative examples to show how scene planning works – with step-by-step instructions from conception to implementation.
Scenarios for different requirements – from cozy to functional: the lighting handbook illustrates what perfectly balanced lighting scenes do to a room.

Lighting suggestions from Häfele
When it comes to implementing specific projects, Häfele is on hand with lighting suggestions. Customers simply send a floor plan to Häfele. The company’s lighting experts then draw the appropriate lighting effect on the floor plan and recommend suitable luminaires. Häfele offers this service in three service tiers. The basic level in 2D includes the planning of furniture and room lighting, linear and spot lighting. Luminaires are outlined in the floor plan and an overview list of suitable products is compiled.
Those who want more support can also have a visualization created in 3D perspectives at level 2, speak live with a Häfele planning expert and have the exact position of the luminaires shown in the floor plan. In Level 3, Häfele also provides a display of light distribution curves, normative lighting calculations, verification of illuminance levels and the planning of lighting scenes in 3D. The lighting proposals are created in Level 2 using pCon-Planner and in Level 3 with DIALux.

Carpenters can send floor plans or 3D plans to Häfele and then receive a three-dimensional view with lighting effects back from the company together with a product list.
